ST 2441 Home Improvement Sealant

ST2441 is a one-component silicone sealant with neutral curing properties; it offers excellent bonding and sealing performance on a variety of substrates; it exhibits superior resistance to high and low temperatures, with minimal performance changes within a temperature range of -40 ℃ to 200 ℃; it also boasts excellent weather resistance and aging resistance; and it meets the VOC standards for home decoration.

Application Method

1. Clean the surface of the substrate to be coated, removing oil and dust.

2. Set the width for applying the adhesive, and apply masking tape to ensure a smooth and aesthetically pleasing finish.
3. Apply the adhesive along the wall edge, ensuring the diameter of the nozzle is smaller than the width of the joint. It's better to apply too little than too much, avoiding excess.
4. After applying the adhesive, use a round tool to smooth and straighten the adhesive strip. Remove the masking tape before the adhesive dries completely. Any excess adhesive can be wiped off with soapy water.

5. After initial curing for 2-3 hours, allow to stand until fully cured the next day.

Application Areas

Sealing and bonding of kitchen cabinets, bathroom fixtures, doors and windows, and other applications requiring sealing.

Precautions

Cannot be used as a structural sealant

Not suitable for use on all materials that exude oils, plasticizers, or solvents, such as the surface of oil-impregnated wood.

It is not suitable for use in poorly ventilated areas because the sealant needs to absorb moisture from the air to cure.

Not suitable for use on frosty or damp surfaces.

Not suitable for use in places that are continuously submerged in water or damp year-round.

Construction is not recommended when the material surface temperature is below 4 °C or above 40 °C.
